Steve McInaney

Founder, Owner, and Guide

Steve is a former high school biology teacher, university faculty member (M. Ed), educational leader, river guide, NOLS instructor, Wilderness First Responder, and father of two boys. He has an uncanny ability and gift for facilitating authentic connection through fly fishing and his love of teaching. Steve and his family spent eight years living in Bozeman, Montana. Steve learned to fly fish from his Uncle Gary when he was ten years old. Steve has spent countless hours fly fishing the many waters of Southwest Montana. To this day, Steve organizes an annual fly fishing trip for the men he’s closest to in his life: his uncle, older brother, best friend, and close “brothers from other mothers.” It’s rekindled some close bonds that have served to revitalize his family and have inspired new possibilities for friendship, connection, and healing, and serves as the inspiration for FISHER KING FLY FISHING JOURNEYS – knowing that others may be thirsting for similar experiences.
